On Saturday, May 16, Monk’s Kitchen, along with help from JTM Food Group, Hubert, and F&M Mafco, gifted pizza, bottled water, homemade cookies, and flowers to workers at many Harrison organizations, including pharmacies, medical centers, and first responder departments. Mayor Bill Neyer and Harrison Police Department Chief Charles Lindsey helped deliver the items, as well as a proclamation from the mayor declaring May 16, 2020, as “COVID-19 Hero Day.” Monk’s Owner John Frerick said many of his family members are frontline workers he recognizes for the work they are doing.
