Two Southwest Local School District students have qualified to compete in the WCPO 9 On Your Side Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 16, at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. Elijah Snyder attends Harrison Elementary, and Avery Dennis attends Crosby Elementary. “To win the spelling bee, it’s just … it’s great to have an opportunity like this. It’s just amazing. … I feel proud of how far I’ve gotten, and It’s just ... I feel just proud,” said Snyder.  “There are other words like amazing and great to describe and explain this ... but I can only feel proud.” Each school champion takes an online spelling/vocabulary test by the end of January to qualify.
