An eighth-grader will see his writing efforts pay off when a short story he wrote is published by a Cincinnati-based company.

Cincinnati Incorporated and Southwest Local School District have partnered to bring students of all grades a more comprehensive STEAM program.

Harrison Canning Factory 1901 – 1925.

Many of us old-timers are familiar with the past major employers in Harrison, specifically “The Foundry,” “The Shoe Factory, and “The Box Factory.”

These three factories were the mainstay of the Harrison economy and one even still remains, strongly in operation today, in town, up on Campbell Road.
