At a standing-room only gathering at The Coffee Peddlar in downtown Harrison, Harrison City Councilmember Cindy Abrams has announced her 2019 candidacy for Harrison mayor.

"As mayor, I will work hard every day to make Harrison the best place to live and grow," said Abrams. 

 

For 18 years, from 1990 to 2008, a total of 9,782 people who lived in a five-mile radius of the former Feed Material Production Center near Fernald underwent medical tests and answered questionnaires as part of a medical surveillance program.

Harrison High School football fans who watched the Wildcats play Troy in the first round of the Division II playoffs Nov. 2 saw at least part of the blueprint for their team’s future.

More than 100 veterans and military members, from active duty to World War II veterans, were honored at an assembly on Friday, Nov. 9, which was hosted by Harrison Junior School and Harrison High School.

In the 1970s, Keith Lake said he saw a need for a sporting good store in Harrison, and in 1978, he supplied uniforms and equipment to the Harrison Junior Baseball program.
