This would be Tom Kendrick’s kingdom, if in fact he saw himself as a king. At the least, it could be termed his “magnus opus.”

Rather, he is like any other golfer – dropping a golf ball on the putting green, lining up his shot and stroking it toward a hole about 25 yards away. He does this a few times until he greets his guest.

A Harrison High School senior got to see five weeks of her hard work and dedication come to fruition when an art mural on which she and 13 other area high school students worked was opened to the world on Saturday, Oct. 28.

 For more than 15 years, humble quilters have been creating and donating handmade lap-size comfort quilts from the basement of the Amazing Grace Lutheran Church on New Haven Road.

“Pat Acra and I started the Amazing Grace Quilt group years ago in a little room here at the church,” said Carolyn McClary.
