The timing of the light on Harrison Avenue at Stone Drive will be changed in an effort to reduce traffic accidents in the bash zone from about Stone to West Road.

City Council’s streets committee agreed Tuesday, Feb. 19, that changing the timing and establishing a system to allow motorists to use both lanes in both directions for through traffic for a certain amount of time, then using a turn signal to designate the inside lanes for turning left onto Stone and into business entrances is the most practical and least expensive way to reduce wrecks in the high-profile, fast-food restaurant area.
