A philosophical difference between Harrison Mayor Joel McGuire and the other four members of the city’s planning commission probably will result in a zone change and construction of townhouses off West Road near Circle Drive.

The commission voted 4-1 Tuesday, Feb. 12, to recommend to city council that about 3 1/2 acres be rezoned from manufacturing (M1) to residential (R3) for construction of 23 townhouse units with three bedrooms each. Council was expected on Tuesday, Feb. 19, to set a public hearing date.
