What painter wouldn’t enjoy a total getaway to a comfortable retreat center nestled in the woods, spending three days learning painting techniques, sharing ideas, and eating prepared meals.
Every April, the retreat becomes reality in West Harrison thanks to the efforts of the Greater Cincinnati Decorative Artists, who plan the details.
The retreat is scheduled for April 19, 20 and 21, and this year’s theme is Painting is a Picnic. Held at Higher Ground Conference Center, West Harrison, the retreat offers classes in all painting and drawing mediums, for all experience and skill levels, and offers a variety of design styles from realistic to decorative and crafty art.
Registration is open to folks interested in decorative painting. A catalog of painting classes and registration forms are available on the GCDA Web site www.gcdapainters.org.
Registration fee is scheduled to increase March 1, so take advantage of the current lower rate. More information is available on the Web site. Retreat chairwoman is Jo Ann Heurich, who can be contacted at 513-367-9757 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
