Time Warner Cable has boosted the maximum download speed for Standard Internet by 50-percent from 10 Mbps to 15 Mbps.
The faster speeds were launched to Standard Internet customers throughout Time Warner Cable’s service area, said Rob Marcus, president and chief operating officer.
Standard Internet customers received the faster speeds automatically, but can upgrade immediately by pushing the “reset” button on their modems, or if it doesn’t have a reset button, by unplugging the power cord from the modem for 10 seconds, plugging it back in and then rebooting their computer.
For customers who need even more speed for telecommuting, working with large files, or households with multiple power users, Time Warner Cable offers tiers of Internet service with download speeds up to 50 Mbps.
