If you donated to the Harrison Mayors Fund with cash or canned goods rest assured your kindness served a monumental purpose in 2012 during which more families than ever in the over 60-year history of the program received grocery donations.

In all, 250 families received three or four bags of groceries at Christmas, mostly donated through the Southwest Schools canned food drive, and 40 to 60 pounds of meat and other food products from JTM, said Mayor Joel McGuire.
