Lauren Elizabeth Hill was born October 1, 1995 in Cincinnati, Ohio to D. Brent and Lisa M. (Harper) Hill of Greendale, Indiana. Lauren passed away early on April 10, 2015 at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati with her loving family by her side. Lauren was 19 ½ years old.

Several businesses in Historic Downtown Harrison have joined forces to promote and market their businesses into one place brand they are calling The District.

A trip to Florida kept the Harrison Wildcats baseball team busy last week while most Cincinnati-area teams sat and watched the rain fall. Not only did the Cats get four wins on the trip to Panama Beach, but they also were able to practice three days and take batting practice every day. 

Fans of the Harrison Wildcats baseball team have the opportunity to watch the Cats and Oak Hills High School play the first high school baseball game in the history of Great American Ball Park on Saturday, April 18.

At an event hosted by the Southwest Local School District, more than 150 people attended and learned the warning signs of drug addiction and much more. Booths set up at the event provided information for individuals who need help with their addictions. Superintendent Chris Brown says another similar event might be held in the fall.    

As area participants prepare for the 2015 Relay for Life, one frequently seen face has been sorely missed. Dan Metz had been a part of Harrison’s Relay for years. He was involved in many ways and worked on the cause until the day he suddenly died last August.
