City gears up for battle bash this summer

Forget about superstition because Saturday, July 13, 2013, should be an excellent day in Harrison. The entire state will turn its attention to the city as the first in the Buckeye State to commemorate the 1,000-mile John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail that winds through Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.

Dubbed the Ohio Ceremonial Opening of the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail, the event will mark the 150th anniversary of the Confederate general’s raid from Tennessee through The Blue Grass, into Indiana and across the Whitewater River into Southern Ohio.
