Elizabethtown Elementary School students participate in the Schoolhouse Banking Program sponsored by WesBanco in Harrison. Student savers are eligible to take parti n a drawing to receive $2 bills. Recent winners include: Connor Tenhundfeld, Cyndi Weber, Erin Case, and Ashley Hotopp. 

Principal Ron Mangus helps students load the buses for the first weekend of the school year. The Southwest Local schools started the 2015-2016 school year on Wednesday, Aug. 19.

Over lunch at Market Street Grille on Tuesday, Aug. 11, Congressman Steve Chabot asked Harrison Township trustees to describe issues that need to be resolved in small-town Ohio. Trustee Bill Noes, right, was joined by Fiscal Officer Greg Bybee and Trustee Thomas Losekamp.

15 members and 2 guests traveled North on July 29 to tour Craig’s English Garden Farm in Jamestown, Ohio. 

Craig Jaynes’ garden is only about 15 years old but holds many treasures of unusual and rare plants. He served a delicious three-course lunch including a refreshing bergamot and Earl Grey iced tea.
