With Winton Woods no longer around to rule the roost, eight schools start fresh this basketball season with at least some hope of winning the conference title. The new Southwest Ohio Conference gives everyone hope, something that was hard to come by in the Fort Ancient Valley Conference. “I believe the league, top to bottom, is pretty even this year,” said Harrison Wildcats coach Eric Ebrens. “It’s too early to predict whether we can win the league, but I believe we’ve got a chance to win some games.”
