It may not have quite the effect of Milan winning the Indiana state championship in basketball back in 1954, but for the first time in almost 60 years, southeast Indiana is making a major impact on Indiana high school basketball. The Seventh U.S. Circuit Court in Indianapolis approved a consent decree that calls for Franklin County High School to begin sharing Friday nights for basketball games, traditionally the domain of boys’ basketball, with the girls by the 2016-2017 school year.
