| Wildcats fall to Cougars in final game of season |

The 2012 high school football season did not live up to the hopes and dreams of the Harrison Wildcats football team as last Friday’s 21-13 loss to the Edgewood Cougars eliminated the Cats from a spot in the Division II playoffs. For the first time since 2009 there will be no 11th game for the Cats. A win over Edgewood would not have been enough to earn Harrison a playoff position this year, but it would have enabled the Cats to even their record at 5-5. Instead, Harrison finishes at 4-6 and takes fifth place in the Southwest Ohio Conference. “The Edgewood game pretty much summed up our season,” said coach Kent McCullough. “We were too inconsistent.”
