In its first year of operation, the Southwest Ohio Conference did a fine job in football. Three SWOC teams qualified for the Division II playoffs. Mount Healthy, conference champion, finished third in Region 16 and will host perennial state title contender Trotwood Madison. Northwest finished in fifth place in the district and will travel to Franklin. Edgewood finished seventh in the region and have a first-round game at Winton Woods.
