Like many football coaches, Kent McCullough has a hard time understanding why a team can play so poorly one week and play at its absolute best the following week. “A lot of people, even my wife, pointed out that it seemed like we had no energy when we played Ross,” said McCullough of the 27-0 loss to the Rams on Oct. 12. “The grind of a season can get to you. We pulled back a little on the conditioning last week so we could have fresh legs on Friday night and it seemed to work out.” Indeed it did.
