Calling All Area Veterans and Current Military Personnel!
On behalf of the Southwest Local School District, the administration, staff and students from Harrison Senior and Junior High Schools, we extend an invitation to all area United States Past and Current Military Personnel to attend a breakfast and program entitled “A Salute to the Heroes of the United States of America”!
The Veteran’s Day Program is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9, and will be hosted at the Southwest Local School’s Activity Center, at the West Road campus of Harrison Senior and Junior High Schools. 
The complimentary breakfast is scheduled for 8:15 a.m., and will take place in the Bistro of the Activity Center. The program will begin at 9 a.m. on the floor of the Wildcat Arena and will conclude promptly at 10 a.m.
The program will feature student tributes, patriotic music, members of the JROTC Program, guest speakers, and representatives from each branch of the United States Military. 
In addition to our guests, the program will be attended by approximately 1,800 students, faculty and staff members, representing grades 7-12 as we honor our heroes from current and past military personnel! The breakfast is sponsored by JTM and Remke-Bigg’s and will be served by Harrison High students.
Attending on behalf of the Air Force will be SSG Lucas Arteaga, on behalf of the Army, SSG Darragh and SSG Wray, on behalf of the Coast Guard, a representative to be named, on behalf of the Marines , SGT Schultz, and on behalf of the Navy, Petty Officer Bradley Alvis .
If you are a past or current member of the United States Military, regardless of your residence, please consider this your invitation for you and your spouse (or caregiver) to contact Harrison High School at 367-4169 to allow us to plan for breakfast and to arrange for your special seating for the Veterans Day Assembly.
